Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Antiflam mobile application ("the app"). Antiflam is owned and operated by Zero to Build LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Oregon ("we," "us," "our," or "the Company"). By downloading, installing, or using Antiflam, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Description of Service

Antiflam is a wellness application that uses AI-powered image analysis to score foods for inflammatory potential, track meals, and help users identify personal inflammation triggers through journaling and biometric data correlation. The app is intended for general wellness and educational purposes only.

2. Not Medical Advice

Antiflam is a wellness and informational tool. It is not a medical device, clinical diagnostic tool, or substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

The inflammation scores, trigger analyses, biometric correlations, HealthKit data interpretations, insights, and all other information provided by the app are for general informational and educational purposes only. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. Specifically:

• Inflammation scores are generated by AI models and a curated food database. They are estimates based on general dietary research, not clinical measurements of your individual inflammatory markers (such as CRP, IL-6, or TNF-alpha).
• Trigger insights and food-symptom correlations are observational patterns based on your self-reported data. They have not been clinically validated and may not reflect actual causal relationships.
• HealthKit biometric data (sleep, HRV, resting heart rate, steps) is displayed for informational context only. Changes in these metrics can reflect many factors unrelated to food or inflammation.
• No information in this app should be used to self-diagnose food allergies, intolerances, autoimmune conditions, or any other medical condition.

Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making significant changes to your diet, especially if you have a medical condition, food allergies, an eating disorder, are pregnant or nursing, or are taking medication. If you experience severe symptoms such as difficulty breathing, swelling, or anaphylaxis after eating, seek emergency medical attention immediately.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Antiflam offers a free tier with limited functionality and a premium subscription with additional features. Subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• Free trial periods, if offered, automatically convert to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial ends.
• Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app
• Interfere with or disrupt the app's servers or infrastructure
• Attempt to bypass scan limits, subscription gates, or other access controls
• Use automated tools to access the app's AI services

5. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, AI prompts, food databases, and other materials in Antiflam are owned by Zero to Build LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the app without our written permission.

6. User Data

Your use of Antiflam is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

7. AI-Generated Content

Antiflam uses artificial intelligence to identify food items, generate inflammation scores, and provide dietary suggestions. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated results may contain errors or inaccuracies. You acknowledge that:

• AI food identification may not always be accurate, especially for complex or unusual dishes
• Inflammation scores are estimates based on general dietary research, not clinical measurements
• Smart swap suggestions are general recommendations, not personalized medical advice
• You should verify any important dietary information with a qualified professional

8. Apple Health Integration

If you connect Apple Health, the app reads health data (sleep duration, HRV, resting heart rate, steps) solely for the purpose of displaying correlations in the Insights dashboard. This data is processed locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party. You can disconnect Apple Health at any time through the app's Settings.

HealthKit data displayed in Antiflam is not a substitute for clinical monitoring. Correlations between biometric data and food intake shown in the app are observational and have not been clinically validated. Do not use these correlations to make medical decisions. If biometric readings concern you, consult a healthcare provider.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

Zero to Build LLC does not warrant that: (a) the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure; (b) inflammation scores, food identifications, or insights will be accurate, complete, or reliable; (c) any health-related information displayed will be applicable to your individual circumstances; or (d) defects will be corrected.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Zero to Build LLC, its owners, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the app. This includes, without limitation:

• Damages arising from dietary decisions made based on inflammation scores, trigger insights, food identifications, or any other information provided by the app
• Adverse health outcomes, allergic reactions, or medical complications related to food choices influenced by app content
• Damages arising from reliance on biometric data, HealthKit correlations, or AI-generated recommendations
• Loss of data, including meal logs, scan history, or profile information
• Any inaccuracy in AI-generated food identification, scoring, or analysis

In no event shall Zero to Build LLC's total liability to you exceed the amount you paid for the app in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or fifty dollars ($50), whichever is greater.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Zero to Build LLC, its owners, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the app; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your reliance on any information provided by the app for health or dietary decisions; or (d) any claim by a third party related to your use of the app.

12. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If we make material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you through the app.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the app at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the app's infrastructure. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the app shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Multnomah County, Oregon, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Zero to Build LLC regarding your use of Antiflam and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
